Pretty Creatures explores the playful and mystic nature of flowers presenting as sitting for portrait studio.
Stripped of their usual context, each bloom becomes a character alive, expressive, and capable of telling its own story.
With this series I wanted to dispell the belief that flowers are simple and just nice to look at but instead they are our secret keepers.
And only when we stop and release judgement then they start talking to us. Are they simply vessels to project our inner selfs or can they be mirrors for our inner states.
Perhaps the reminder that beauty often carries both lightness and shadow.
At its heart, this work is an invitation to feel rather than to look to let the unseen atmospheres of flowers stir something within you.
